hello, friends and happy friday! as you’re reading this i am actually winging my way to a girl’s long weekend away for bri’s bachelorette party! i cannot wait for our stay at hotel joaquin, a relatively new spot in laguna beach. a little fun, a little rest and relaxation — just what the doctor ordered. it’s been a busy week, planning a super marché pop-up shop with Elsie green on saturday, march 23 at lux studios in san francisco. more about that soon! but if you’re in the bay area, mark your calendars! have a great weekend, and I’ll see you back here on tuesday!

xo, victoria

  1. last time i was in london i really wanted to dine at the chiswick fire station but we were too knackered (as they say) after a full day of museum and gallery hopping. but this feature on we heart makes me want to definitely make it next time.
  2. this is just a perfect little dining space.very minimalist, but charming in its own way with those lovely velvet upholstered chairs and quirky artwork.
  3. i love the way this beautiful painting of caroline popham’s is framed. an ornate gold frame makes such an interesting contrast to her modern artwork.
  4. blogger cassandra from @coco.kelley posted this beautiful pink tiled bathroom at Willmott’s Ghost, a restaurant in seattle and the internet exploded. i think you can see why. she’s going to post the whole place very soon so stay tuned.
  5. the founders of blog 100 layer cake saw a need for an event space on L.A.’s westside and brilliantly took on the task, opening festoon. the event space looks fabulous, with this bar area created by none other than the very on-fire designer Sarah Sherman Samuel. visit their site to see the whole space photographed by marisa vitale!
  6. this home office featured in rue is such a unique little nook. i love all the elements, from the wee desk, to the artwork, lighting and fabulous chair!
  7. have you seen the incredible oil paintings of spanish artist lino lago? if not, now’s the time because each and every one is quite brilliant. he paints realistic portraits and scenes in oil and adds a layer of abstracted intrigue using bright fields of color with a ‘finger painting’ like touch to them.
  8. i can see spending an entire weekend in this dreamy bed with a stack of design magazines. it’s got some very romantic, vintage vibes going on and i love the pale pink ornate headboard.
